you can fibreglass the bonnet to do that or get a body shop to weld some metal and shape it etc.

not difficult as such but making them match right would be a *****

Yeh I asked for a rough price to get it done from a custom workshop here in Sydney, the guy said it would probably end up around the 1000 mark once u get the metal sitting right and even and repaint it all the match. Given my car goes where I want it to in the next year or so I'll probably get it done.

$1000 damn! My bro was gonna weld the plates up but i didn't go ahead with it. was no where near that price!

A cheaper way mate is to make or buy some fibreglass eyelids

That was $1,000 from a custom shop. I'd be surprised if it was more than $500 at a panel shop.

i was gonna do this at one point, but decided to get my vinyl eyelids, which are gone now to accomodate the indicators, so my ship sailed for this option it looks fkn awesome but, with the lack of headlights for our car, it is one of the best things that can be done to the front of the BA

DIY...but id get a spare bonnet and spend time on it making sure that its done well
i dont think that its a mod to take lightly and its not easy to do yourself unless youve got experience

+1 even if you are good, glassing and painting alone would take more than a day and you shouldnt drive it in the mean time cus it would just look silly

i would say this isnt really a DIY job if you've got no fibreglassing or prior experience. go around to a couple of body shops and talk to them, $1000 is way to much for this

This is how we did it. (On my girlfriends car)

The paint shop did it while fitting the kit and spraying it flip red/orange/gold. Just welded in a couple of bits of metal, smoothed it all off and sprayed it. Didn't add much to the price at all. I'm not sure of the exhange rate, but $1000 sounds like a complete rip off.
