Curious on downsizing wheels on SP20
I've done a few things to the 20 over the years and tinkering with wheel size has been one that intrigues me. I've gone from stock 16x6 to aftermarket 17x7, bought 16x7 TE37s to go back to for racing, but, because offset is a bit off the tyres scrub on the rear so i was pondering ways to avoid all the problems that come with changing tyre size. So here's my question. Has anyone with an SP20 gone down to a 15" rim? I had a squiz at how the tyre sits and how much room there is between rim and strut tower and i think its possible but just unsure. I would likely go a 15x7 if i was to go down a size

255mm diameter rotor, i don't see my a 15 would fit.
i have 257mm rotors and they fit. also know that 270mm rotors fit inside 15s also. also seen a 280mm BBK fit inside 15s also. the main problem i see is finding a 15inch rims that have 5x114.3 pcd. lots of 6.5 wide, but 7.0 wide is hard to come by. japan has heaps, but that equals big money sometimes. |

Yeah i hear you on the rarity side of things. I'd hit Rupe up for some wheels. No problem there. Just sussing things out first. I ALWAYS do my research before i go and do stuff.

Yeah 15" should be no problem as Ryan said. The BA V6 runs a 15" in Japan with the 274mm rotor.
Most of the 15" 5x114.3 rims in Japan will be 6 or 6.5 wide though, unless it's a more modern (=expensive) rim
