Stuffed lead new coil pack SP20
So after all this time it appears my car didn't get hot enough to stuff it.
But the mechanic said one of the leads is stuffed and is trying to get ahold of a geniun coild pack, my question is Can you get aftermarket ones ie like at autopro if so has anyone had any experience with these. Cheers |

when reading about coil packs in GENERAL, it was always better to get genuine quality wise. (people with skylines/imports etc online seemed to agree too.) whether they will cost an arm and a leg is unknown.

I have at least 4 coil packs in my shed at home, pity your so far away as I would let you test them. I may also have some as new leads too, I will check the quality of them when I get home tonight.

Ripped much!! Dude at mazda was nice and charged me trade, which was $180 each. Had them in stock. Bloke behind the counter also said that new ones purchased have a lifetime warranty on them. And to take a couple of pics of the install, and write down the km's they were changed at.

there's a few that I've seen that got overheated, but it passed compression tests and other basic tests... later on, problems manifested itself, such as lumpy rough idle, unexplained coolant loss, etc... all despite the fact that the car drove fine at speed

Good luck with that. It they have a lifetime warrenty. Then why would you need a pic and milage noted? Wouldn't the receipt be enough as milage is irrelevant to a age based warrenty. I think that bloke was blow smoke up your ass. |

Swift said "300 A coilpack" = 600 for a set.......
2x300 = 600 - 360 = 240... I paid $240 less than swift And he probably was.... But meh... Doubt they are gna have issues in the time I have the car neway

Just skimmed and thought that's. What he paid. I would take genuine over aftermarket anyway.

meh its all good... look da20valve its up to you at the end of the day yes you can get aftermarket and genuine..
Also there is another mod you can do which i found out after replacing mine.. moves the coil packs away from the top of the engine which decreases failure rate.. i'll be doing this if mine ever die again http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showt...1-8-Coil-Packs |
