Brakes are going all good will be doing pads, rotors and lines after my holiday. LCA brace shall arrive shortly also Mazda speed shift knob, also a Bride drivers side rail (recaro also fits) will keep my eyes peeled for passenger ones!
And the new design mazdaspeed oil cap in red Oh... Almost forgot... Finally got the AAC end links! Items are serious quality! Top stuff and a good price... Will try to sort out a bulk buy Mabey? I am really impressed with these end links. Have only installed rear ones this afternoon... But back end has more response. Reason why I was after new end links was because the stock SP20 end links are just to shorsoffit the design of the wholesale rear swaybar. so as the shocks compressed the swaybar swings around and due to the short links it was swinging up and hitting the subframe and making a god awful sound! Now running longer end links and geometry of the swaybar is now perfect! Downside to that.... You loose an inch or so from your shock extension travel... Which you won't use unless you get air! Will update pics over the weekend. Wil also be installing my AAC front end links too. Summary: if you have a wholesale suspension rear swaybar... GET LONGER ENDLINKS!!

I am happy to run a GB/SO if there are people interested as it will be an opportunity to some more bumper brackets or other AAC items

Installed the rear AAC swaybar endlinks midway through last week... Work great... But all they seem to do is rattle their head off ...

Sp you guys use the engine to slow you down? Maybe your roads are faster than ours but no one here has ever cooked them... Or maybe you drive crazy haha.

I am guilty of cooking my brakes on every mountain run. Lol
And guess its a combination of fast steep roads and crazy NSW peeps I really do punish my bakes through the hills tho... Hence why I did the upgrade. Most of the roads we drive have very fast flowing corners to hairpins and are downhill... That sort of combination is sure to cook brakes.

Aah ok. Maybe the BA brakes are better slightly... Th e v6 ones with slotted disks have held up fantastically through the only mountain run I did... Interested in a silent replacement for endlinks so hopefully you can find a fix

You might have them on aswell, but the stock brakes can't really handle the 18" rims, i never really had a problem with 17"s at the very end kf natio when i would be pulling up at the lookout i would get fade but last night was the first run i have done with the 18"s and it cooked the brake really really easy had fade every hairpin, haha when phill got out of his car he just said 18"s will do that to them straight away haha,

I was cooking them all day with the stock 16" too.
Had my fluid boil once (pedal just hit the floor ) - solution ... 5.1 Then pad fade was astronomical... So went with new rotors, remsa front pads and HPX rears. Still just constantly cooked (on the 16") One run through kangaroo valley and other beautiful roads close by I went through a quater of pad material in the space of about an hour. Also melted my rear brake pads at the same time and was starting to get fluid fade too (with the 5.1 ... Think it was because the fluid was a little old) I didn't even notice any difference between te 16's and the 18's In that respect btw.

Between you and andrew cooking pads on 18's should really look into the mazda6 upgrade before putting my 18's on.
That said reckon slotted would help at all? |

My entire upgrade cost me bit less that $300... Later on if you like go slotted on the Mazda 6 Thus my advice anyway... Slotteds won't make that much of a difference anyways

I warped a set of solid rotors with mild abuse. I haven't had anuly dramas in 3 years with slotted, with harder driving. So they do make a difference, whether It's enough is the question, which its probably not.
