Looking at buying this is I don't hear back from a seller AND if you can tell me whether I can swap this engine into my bg?
Cheers, I don't know much about the engine compatibility. |

you'd be better off using the BPT (turbo 1.8L) for the BG. The BF/KE cars are lighter & make better use of the B6T lower power. Besides, the BG has a BP engine so mounting & general fitment will cause you far less grief. Also. There is info & advice on here & fl.com on this common swap

how long have you been waiting for tacety?
BPT's come up every so often but check ebay and the trading post also ring around engine recondition's as they sometimes have engines sitting around wreckers also are good as you can get your money back if its stuffed or seized however the can be a bit pricey |

You'd have a better chance at an import yard, as the BPT only came in the imported 4wd Familia GTX & GTR...

Okay anyone have any contacts where I can get the engine and everything I need to convert? Websites? Phone numbers?
Reason I'm still waiting for tacety is that I'd be getting a whole car and everything I'd need plus the missus wouldn't mind my engine in his as she hasn't had a car fr a while. |

I've managed to find a b6t that's a halfcut of an astina for just over 3grand freighted down to tassie.
May be the best option seeing as it will be in extremely good condition. |

I meant to explain that the engine is IN an astina therefore there'd be no problems fitting it into my bg as the mounts and everything are still there.
Plus it'd be reconditioned I guess! |

pretty sure it would b easier for u to get a BP from a wreckyard, reco it with forged rods and pistons and strap a turbo to it than getting a b6t and fitting it to yours. more reliable 2 and might end up cheaper in the end more power 2

I can't seem to find any though.
Any complete dohc's including loom, ecu, etc. They're around 800 without them! Plus I'd have to source the missing components. Just after decent dohc turbo as soon a I can. Maybe I'm being difficult but I have the money for it now an rather get something complete than having to fork out and wait. Damn you tacety!! |

I mean cause its in a halfcut from japan. The imports place states somewhere that they're in reconditioned condition almost like new.
And, like I said before it's already in a bg astina so it's just a drag and drop situation in that case. |

just cause its from japan doesnt mean its reconditioned, we import half cuts from japan all the time and i know other yards that do and rarely are any of them reconditioned, and if they are you cant tell...
