Injectors... eeep..
hmm just wondering what would be common signs that my injectors need a major clean.. and or replacement..
Cause theres some things that make me think mine are rooted... slow laggy like take off in 1st.. Can feel a power drop when in 2nd near bout 4000 rpm and putting some gas on... and other stuff... What do you fellas think??

Hey bro, I got my car serviced last week and Mazda said they should get done every 20k! I was up for a 40k service and had never had it done, so I thought the bitch runs so rich I might aswell...

I wouldn't touch the injector clean and engine flush used by the dealerships
better off using a bottle of Nulon or Wynn's just my opinnon best way to have the injectors cleaned is ultrasonicaly when they are out of the car. Rob

Mazda claim to "manually flush" them, and not just put an additive through them such as Wynns or Nulon...

My "manual injector flush" cost me $89 ontop of the regular service cost.

Not sure how much labour will cost to take them out, But if you take them out and it will cost $25 each injector to clean.

All sounds a bit dodgie to me. The openings in carby jets are smaller than those found in fuel injectors and I've never heard of carbys being re-built on an annual basis to clean out the jets.
I guess if I was a mechanic and someone asked about injector cleaning then I'd take that as a sign that they were willing to part with cash
