Astina Gearbox in Lantis ??

Hello, I have gearbox of Astina BG 1,6 (it was a gift ), hooks in my Lantis BP engine, but the cv are very short. There is some way to make the conversion? Works the one of Astina GT in Lantis? Is necessary to transfer the guts of Astina gearbox to Lantis Gearbox? I have thousand doubts . Where I live I am single with the Lantis, here a Lantis and a Astina are a car of old gentlemen

Read the model number on the front side of the gearbox if it is something like
G5M01 it would be a good choice if it starts with F5M or something similar I wouldn't waste the effort.

Oohh, I cannot read nothing , gearbox has much dirt, I must clean it to be able to read it. Of all ways I do not believe that Astina 1,6 gearbox is F series. I need one gearbox closed. I can install the F series of Astina 1,8 in my Lantis ? What I need to make the conversion?

Thanks

to install an F series onto your BP when you are already running a G series would be like making horse shoes out of toothpics... it wont last long and its not worth the effort!

Why do you want to swap gearboxes in the first place?

I want to interchange gearboxes because gearbox stock is very long, in 2º goes to 115kmh to 7500rpm, and series F goes to 105kmh

The F series is a weaker gearbox, so i'd advise against it.

You'll also need to change your clutch, flywheel, gearbox mounts, clutch line, and driveshafts.

For a few kph an hour it's not worth it.

Ok, if really one is weaker gearbox, I prefer not to install it. I will try to gain some Kmh with a CAI, finish buying a Simota coal to air to filter. Not where to put the blower pipe cold

Yeah but skitz not everyone will hit rev limiter in each gear as its not advised to do so. Are you looking to have your gearbox outlast your engine?
Most people will rate a box speed at redline not inside it

Skitz, sorry, but I do not understand well what you say to me, I am Spanish and all to translate it in a translation software, sorry. I look for one gearbox closed, that of 1ª to 2ª, and 2ª to 3ª, always there is the same difference of rpm, I do not need to go to more than 220 in 5ª. My father has a Astina BG GT and his gearbox is perfect, but if he is weaker...

The BG GT gearbox and BG 1.6 gearbox should be different.

Check the codes on them - it's the only way we can advise you for sure.

They are different, but equal of closed. In 5 ª to 4000rpm they go to the same kmh, I have verified it
