Camping Weekend

Hi Guys,

Please let me know if you'd like to come camping

Where: Barumba Deer Park (West of Noosa)
When: Late May
Cost: TBD

Want to get numbers of people coming and if your comfortable sleeping in another tent with a fellow AGTer. If you so choose there is also cabins etc if you wish to avoid camping. Thats on you to organise, if you do not wish to camp. Please only say your coming if your pretty definite, i.e. only reasons you wont be coming is if you loose a family member, your better half is giving berth, you get swallowed by a whale. Those sort of things. Want to avoid asking for a camping spot for 20 and 5 rock up.

Going/Interested:
Kris
Mat
Sam

Fence Sitter:
Becca

Really? i went about 4 years ago. It smelt like Sh1t. Seriously. From the deer. Was dirty, bathrooms were foul, they had some concert that was blaring bad singing until 3 in the morning (i wasn't impressed), we packed up the next morning and left. Was a horrid place.

Open to suggestions. The only other places ive been camping require a 4wd.

Deer Parks awesome cause they allow you to have fires, its pretty (down the bottom), has a big creek, has toilets/showers etc.

But from your description I imagine the park was full which would explain the bathrooms, not excuse it but explain it.

Chalange excepted

Na seriously tho camping is camping.. Sounds like u went over a long weekend end or when the park was packed out.. Most national parks ive been to have clean toilets (except for the green tree frogs that live in them haha)

We could always go to wivenhoe dam,

They have powered sites and good fasilities there... U can have fires too (from memory)

Imbil is only busy 2 times a year. Once for Rally Queensland and once for Ammamoor/Gympie Country Music Muster. I've been there, and I haven't experienced what Ben has. But considering there is 12 months in the year, why pick one of the 3 coldest to camp?

There was another camping thread with many ideas and suggestions, didn't really go far due to lack of interest.

I'm pretty keen. I'll have to check my uni schedule closer to the date but other than this, I'm down.
You girls need to harden up. The cold is part of the fun!

There's also Charlie Moreland campground at Kenilworth- you can have fires there and it's 2wd friendly. I've been there a couple of times and it's good.
