to be honest i dont no why people are complaining...they are breaking the law then complain when they get caught...people just dont understand...you speed you have the chance of getting caught!!!

if people stopped speeding they would be fine...

oh man im not complaining, but be hones its not like you have never ever sped before. im jsut putting a warning out cus i know that there are a few members living on the GC and in tbar n ippy, so in case they were not aware of this i was leting them know. fixed speed cameras dont do sht to me or to anyone that i know, when i drive i (as well as 99% of othres around me) slow down to like 85-95 km/h around the speed camera, just to be sure..

yeah i no, ive sped in the past...luckily never been caught...i dont tend to speed at all anymore...even if there is a speed camera i wont slow down to below the speed limit...

but i just cant stand the bogans that get on TV and complainin about the speed cameras and that there a money making thing, not something to protect us...but if someone gets caught speeding enough they would hopefully learn after a while if not they need to be shot in the leg so that cant drive no more! haha

doesn't stop the media from announcing it does it?

personally, if you done by a fixed spped camera, you must be a doucebag. they don't move and are not hidden. everyone knows where they are.

any others ways u guys do it up there

(a mate has had his numberplate's treated with something but he has no clue what it is, only that it works, a mate did it for him when he got his custom plates. a dont ask sort of job)

its been proven anyway that glad wrap doesnt work.
theres been other theories like putting your number plate behind mesh and spraying it with hair spray or something

they all dont work

p.s. you can count the amount of fixed speed cameras in brissie on one hand. much unlike other cities in aus

i think he meant glad wrap the camera

could just do what someone did to a red light camera in sunnybank, shot it with a large calibre rifle, straight down the lense!

i remember once my mate and i were rideing out dirtbikes out in johnson rd bush. and we ended up on the highway. so we decied we waited for a truck then wen it went throught the tolls we went right behind it and poped a wheelie.
saved the camera from seeing our rear plates.

most people i know that ride bikes cover the plate with a foot. damn i want a motard, something fun about being able to jump speed humps and curbs. as well as the shortcuts possible ally ways, stairs through shopping centres (i really wanna ride through my local one, theres a nice spot through a nice big door on the bottom floor up an escalator out a second door into the second story carpark

Why??
you can pass one at 109kph
at 110 it will get you

the setup is 10kph over where the speed limit is below 100kph and 10% above 100kph

you get two flashes and two pics taken, this is to marry up with the lines on the road for a "time over distance" back up so they can 1/ determine what vehicle in what lane was speeding(if more than one in the pic) 2/ can show evidence in court disputes and 3/ used as evidence of a faulty speed detector in disputes

so why bother slowing down(like 99% of the other idiots) when you have no fear of being pinged at or just above the speed limit
nothing worse than having to disengage the cruise control for some goose who slows down for a 100kph speed camera when they are doing just under 100, same as the idiots who won't pass a Police car if it's below the limit, what are they scared of??

same goes for mobile speed cameras, if you are doing the limit you have no fear of being pinged

You can however be flashed when under the speed limit, but this should be ignored as it is just a test picture, they do this every 1 hour or so as they need to reset the camera(I've had this many times)

was going to say the same thing actually, it sives me the irrats when some clown slows down to like 50 in a 70 zone when ever they see blue and white checkers, and as far as putting up warning signs why the hell should they? all that means is they spnt a heap of money on cameras that wont pay for themselves. it would be cheaper to put warning signs up and just have dummy cameras but publically announce that" we put new cameras up, here, here and here" half the time know one would know the diff really

+1 >>> it annoys the crap out of me near the burpengary camera on the bruce when i have to slow down to 80kph to pass it as the drivers in front slow up.

seriously is being 20kph under a big enough buffer to not get pinged for speeding. if you scared your speedo it out by 15-20%, then fix it.

actually speed cameras can be done now at as little as 7%...to be honest why push the boundaries! i dont no of a speedo that actually reads the correct speed...the speedo normally shows you are doing 100 when actually doing about 93-95kmh...
