LTN000's SP20 LookaLike

Hi guys,

im fairly new to the astina scene havent really posted anything about the car until now so here it is.. I bought this 01 BJII for 5K in march from a dealer with about 3 months rego and a bit of damage, i wasnt really looking for this car in particular but i thought it was pretty cheap for what it is. so far i have done the following:
  • Exterior Respray
  • SP20 Front Bar
  • Replaced Rear Main Seal
  • Replaced Oil Sump Gasket
  • Installed Clear Indicators
  • Side Strip Deletion
  • Hi/Lo HID Kit
  • New Battery
  • New Wiper Blades
  • Purchased JDM Eyelids
  • Installed Autoexe Replica Grille
  • Plugged Hatch Badge Holes
  • Fog Light Deletes NEW!
  • K&N Panel Filter NEW!
  • Canon Muffler (Annoying)
  • RSR Ti2000 Springs NEW!
  • New Brake Pads NEW!
  • Enkei J10 17x7 Rims NEW!
  • Kumho KU31 205/40/17 NEW!
  • Mazda Tyre Valve Caps NEW!

here are some pics

Before Respray..ugly stone chips covered the bonnet as well as a stupid magnetic p plate stain?

Rear door damage, they tried to smash it out with a hammer somehow which made it worse..bastards

After respray its a normal 22A with some purple pearl in the clear makes it look darker when not in direct light..i like!

more pics to come stay tuned..looks like a 4wd and needs wheels i know but i need the money and more time :P..dont we all

Nice colour I agree Can that grill fit any better though. Stands out like dogs balls as it's something you can't help noticing. Full points for the TLC on the girl & no doubt the things you will do up ahead ......& when you find that money tree, let me know will ya

Its the best colour Mazda!

Also, if you don't want fog lights, go to Mazdas247.com and search the 'For Sale' section there. I know that there is a set of SP20 (aka P5) fog deletes for sale at the moment.

Cheers.

cannon - no wonder you are sick of the sound already.

you get points though for giving the welding/modding a go yourself.

Front end's looking good You can get headlight restoration kits that will help your lights out, or if you're cheap/motivated try meguiars plast-x polish, works wonders with a bit of elbow grease

APARENTLY: toothpaste works... its slightly abrasive and will polish it up without leaving marks... aparently, do some research but i remember someone else mentioning it before.

It works, but it leaves a really dull finish, normal paint polish will help a bit after the toothpaste but the plast-x will make it even better again

hey guys im getting my tax return back soon and dont know whether i should either buy some rims (Enkei J10's - $1200)http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/300560519...84.m1423.l2649 or to buy a magnaflow catback ($600ish) what are your opinions and what other rims/exhausts would you recommend?

Rims look nice, but you could spend less than $600 and get a decent exhaust made up by a shop.
