Neon/Halogen Lighting

I am looking at putting some lighting in the car (Inside the car, not under the car).

I have looked at some nice Halogen lights for the boot, to shine on the sub with some different colours, but I am looking at power usage at the moment.

My electronics system is running pretty close to max at this stage, and wont take much more without cause for issues. I am upgrading after I get a few other issues sorted out (such as rego and tires), but until then I would still like to put some lighting in.

I was looking at some neons under the dash (probably blue), and some neons under the back seat. (my back seat lifts up, leaving about 15cm of space, and I have already checked, and I can create a cavity under the seat which will be able to house the neons, so when they are off, I can drop the seats and you wouldn't even know they are there).

At this stage, I have gotten the wiring, relays, fuses, and switchs, but I am just wondering if there are low-powered neons, that are more energy efficient, last thing I want is to have to have the engine running to show my car off when it's parked.

Look forward to people's thoughts.

B.

Critter has used halogen lighting in the boot install of his SP20.. It works quite well and i recommend that you PM him as i believe that he did all the work himself..

I have a pic of it from the Canberra Dyno day.. i'll post it later on.
